Yesterday I was told of the untimely death of my friend Jonathan Evarard of JME Healeys. I had know Jon since the early 1990's when we competed on the Classic Marathon rallies and later we collaborated on many stories for Supercar Classics and Octane Magazine. I have great memories of Jon and he will not be forgotten my many in the Austin Healey fraternity!

I was lucky enough to spend time with the Caparo sportscar at the Factory in Norfolk England. This two seat flyer is the closes thing to an F1 car you can drive on the road. The shoot was part of a major story for a US magazine.

Road freight is a vital part of modern life. This image part of a story on the freight system was taken on a stretch of dessert highway in Arizona. Very hot day but the image was worth the effort. Lens flare due to old Nikkor 24MM lens but I like it!

The Citroen SM is a rather exotic automobile,I owned two of these interesting Franco-Italian coupes. The Maserati V6 engine gives the car real GT preformance and growl, couple this with French hydraulic suspension and a rather direct steering produces a fine automotive cocktail. This photograph was taken for Supercar Classics Magazine in the 1980's.

Being freelance professional photographer Christmas is a quiet time for me, the magazines I work for have been published and they all go on holiday. Living in Camden Town north London I keep a look out for new Banksy images that come and go around the area. The maid and the mouse that was on a wall near the Roundhouse was painted over but walking along the Grand Union cannal yesterday I notced the latest Banksy a Huckleberry Finn character fishing for a tag.

Riding my motorcycle on route to an assignment near Chester. On the left of the A51 neat Nantwich is an amazing 70 feet high straw sulpture of Londons Big Ben clock tower. Built by the Snugbury Ice cream company to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the bell tower. Its quite an unexpected sight!

I have been continuing the scanning of my rock archive. This image of Freddie Mercury was taken at the Cardiff Castle gig. I shot many concerts for the band over a three year period. Its great fun seaching the contact print books and file cabinets to find old images. The images once scanned and retouched then go to a photo library to be uploaded to their collections.

Walking home from dinner at a local fish restaurant I photographed the small local theatre lit by a street light and the flashing neon of the front of house. Located on the East cliff of the seaside town ofRamsgate Kent UK the Granville looked like a sene from an american road trip movie a beacon of culture in the small coastal town.

It was a grey and damp day on my visit to Mount Rushmore memorial in South Dakota so I had to find an image for my road trip story! While driving from a parking space a captured this image of the vast monument in the side mirror of our automobile. Colouring helped with flat lighting.

Working on a story of the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year I just happened to be in the right place to photograph the exploits of Mr Dougie Lampkin as he demonstrated his trials riding skills.

On the day Citroen will launch the new DS this image of the iconic original was taken on a road trip to Paris in the 1980's

In 1955 Citroen anounced the DS19 to the delight of the worlds press. Recently judged the most beautiful I was able to shoot this image on a road trip in this 1965 car for Supercar Classics magazine in the UK back in the 1980's. This image scanned from a print where I used Ilford 3200 asa B&W film for a grain effect.

The V10 Bristol Fighter is a genuine 210 MPH supercar that is produced by one of the UK surviving auto makers. I spent a great day photographing the rare and interesting car in Sussex UK for an up coming feature in a UK magazine.

London was hit by the snow for 18 years. This is my local park where we all had a great time . Managed to post images with my photo library by 10 am.

After finishing a shoot in Paris I was taking a coffee in a bar by a frozen canal. The sun was just setting and I couldn't resist shooting the view with my pocket camera. A local passer by said the canal hadn't frozen for twenty years!

A group og photobloggers from around Europe were invited to help produce a Photosynth for the New Renault Megane website. I had a wonderful day in Paris meeting the other photographers working on the project. Each of us had just 15 minutes each in one set location to produce the Photosynth and gallery images uite a challenge!

This is a Range Rover Sport speeding down a snow covered country road in Belgium taken as part of a road trip story for a US magazine. It's interesting that the British Government has spent recent years destroying customer confidence in the 4x4 or SUV sector of the market! It now runs to prop up the ailing busness with the excuse its vital to the British enconomy, another example of joined up government!

On my Sunday cycle ride along the River Thames in Chelsea I stoped to shoot the moment as I passed on a cold early winters day. The scene has wonderful atmosphere that i think reflects the cold still river at the location. I have uploaded the image to my photo library,I never stop working!
