Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (Butzi) designer of the Porsche 911.

Butzi Porsche died last week. I had the pleasure of photographing him twice at his Home and the Porsche Design studio in Zell-Am-See in Austria in the 1980’s. He was a quiet man but a true designer producing a wide range of interesting products, from watches to his most well known design the Porsche 911 coupe. In the photograph I have merged an image of one of the first 911’s with a portrait of the great man. His designs will live on.
